Q & A
BHR: Hi Tom, I think that the difference between writing short fiction or long is a bit like the difference between sweet dishes and savory ones. I like them both. They "are" very different, but with short fiction, I like being able to finish a complete work in a short period of time. With novels, I enjoy being able to work with basically one idea for years. I just wish I had more time for all kinds of writing. For me, the hardest thing sometimes is facing the reality that I can't do all that I want to try, even in the limited arena of fiction writing. Ah, for a life span of a thousand years!
