How it Works
Sniplits publishes short literary and genre fiction by known and new authors. You can listen to these
MP3 stories on devices that play digital MP3 music, audiobooks and podcasts (including iPods and iPhones, BlackBerries and other smartphones, many e-readers, computers, etc.). To purchase and download a story:
Step 1: Sign in
Sign in or create a login ID and password. Creating a login ID and password ensures that you'll be able to access your story after it's been purchased and download it as often as you like.
Step 2: Shop for audio stories
We offer many ways to search our library of audio stories, including:
Click on "sample" to hear about 30 seconds of a story.
To buy a story, click on "add to cart"
Step 3: Buy audio stories
- When you have finished shopping, click on the shopping cart icon in the top right corner of the page.
- To pay for the stories with a gift certificate or promotion coupon, type the gift code number in the appropriate box to the right of your story list, and click on the box marked "Go."
- To pay for the stories with either a CREDIT CARD or PAYPAL: click on the "Buy Now" button
- PayPal processes credit cards for Sniplits, as well as PayPal payments, so you will be briefly transferred to PayPal to complete either purchase process.
- After you have finished entering the transaction information, you must click on "RETURN TO SNIPLITS." If you do not, you will not
be able to download the story.
Step 4: Download & listen to your audio story
- Once you click on the Return to Sniplits button, or finish typing in a gift certificate code, you will be taken to a page where you can click on the "download"
button to begin downloading your audio story.
- You can then either listen to the story, or save it to your computer and then add it to your music/audiobook/podcast library just as you would add a song or audiobook and synch your device (iPod, smartphone, e-reader) according to its directions.
Your My Sniplits Page
When you create a login ID, you also create your own "My Sniplits" page. On this page you can:
- Download any story you've previously purchased. This is particularly helpful when you buy a new computer or other device;
- Review a story. Just click on whichever "star" next to the story name you think an appropriate rating (1-star you hate it, 5-stars you love it). This will also pull up a box where you can type a short review of the story;
- Register gift certificates. Any time you receive a gift certificate, register it on your "My Sniplits" page and we'll keep track of the balance for you. This is also a great way to set up an "account balance" for yourself so that you don't need to enter a credit card number when you want to buy using a mobile device, or if you just don't want to enter a credit card number or go through the PayPal process for each little purchase.
